If torn tissue can be attached the tissue should be placed in a moist gauze, saturated with saline solution, and put in a plastic bag. It is taken with the injured athlete to the hospital for possible reattachment.

Cleanse wound with tap water irrigation

use antiseptics

If necessary, debride the wound

Cover the wound with dressing(type depends on severity of wound)

Visually inspect patient daily for signs and symptoms of infection
