The lesson was definitely technology rich, all fitting within the Substitution part of the SAMR model. I would change a method of reporting/assessmetb by having them create a Glogster to integrate the various sources both online and "old" form.

Elizabeth Walter

1. lessons did you view? Special education and speech language comprehension lesson. 4th grade math.

2. What part of SAMR were used? I feel that the langage comprehension lesson is between augmentation and modification. I think the math lesson is augmentation. the teacher is teaching the lesson then the studen's pick an app after.

3. How would this work in your classroom? The expressive component would be great. Having the students take notes would be too time consumig and involved. The math lesson would not work and i could not let my students pick different apps.

4. What would you change about the lessons? I would require more verbal responses instead of written notes with the comprehension lesson. With the math lesson I would not have the students present 10 different ways to multiplying fractions.

5. What did you like about the lessons? I like the assessment app (show me) as an assessment.

1. The Journey of the Little Red Bull Shop.

2.Class task, augmentation, modificiation and redefinition

3. This lesson would work well with my Gifted Arts classes. if I had the available apps and technology (iPads, computers) it would be easier to work with.

4. I wonder how the clay is going to work. It can be very messy. I wonder if another media (like paper, cardboard) would be more manageable.

5. I like it but it would be very challenging to do.

Lesson 2

1. Drama. Music, Art, German, Technology 5th grade

2. Class task, substitution, augmentation, modification.

3. I could use this by having the students create their own play, designing their stage and characters.

4. I would narrow it down to 3 areas instead of some areas (music, art, drama).

5. It's very interesting, lengthy, and somewhat overwhelming. I like the lesson and would love to see the final product.

Mrs. Arnold: Fine Arts (Journey of the Little Red Bull Stop Motion Video)2. This is a difficult question for me to answer. I could see it being MANY different answers. However, I feel that using the Imotion video during this lesson plan would be MODIFICATION. The difficulty for answering this question comes from not knowing the background of each class. Is technology a common practice in the class OR is this just one lesson with technology. I want more background information:)3. This would be a great way to introduce and integrate technology in to any lesson used for classroom guidance. For example, if we were working on seven habits. They could act out various situations to demonstrate the habit.4. I felt that the clay ball was helpful in providing good definition/boundaries for the students however, I also felt that it was a bit limiting. Perhaps additional objects or a choice of objects might have enhanced creativity.5. I loved the higher level of thinking in the lesson. The comparison /thinking about technology in our history and the importance of technology in the development of our culture could be an entire unit of lessons. 1. Fourth Grade (Health, Fitness and Nutrition)2. Again, without proper background knowledge, I think this lesson is in the substitution phase of the SAMR model3. This type of lesson could be used to incorporate the knowledge they have learned about, for example, the seven habits and the demonstrate that knowledge though the video.4. I would add a rubric for the video so that the students would know what the teachers’ expectations are for the video.5. Using the video as an assessment.
