Why are the Bill of Rights important?
The Bill of Rights are important because it is a factor distributing to the approval of the Constitution. If Madison,Hamilton,and Jay did not make the Federalist papers and add the Bill of rights, Several states would not vote for the Constitution.
It is also important because it protects the rights of American citizens.

First, freedom of religion means that everybody has the right to choose or not choose a religious belief. For example,students in public schools can or not pray because that is their right to choose but the teachers cannot make the students pray in the school. It is the opposite with  Britain that everybody had to worship the same religion,this made people move to the United States. So, freedom of religion satisfies the citizens. 
Next, freedom of speech means that people can give opinions,can talk,argue many ways but their speech can't harm,threaten other people.
Next, freedom of press means that people can give any information to the news,TV,books,internet but the information about people has to be true,not false because it could lose their reputation and affects to their lives.
