In this area, almost each of the careers includes at least one type of scientific knowledge.

- Food engineering: Chemistry, nutrition, maths, biochemistry, microbiology.
These sciences are necessary in the degree because they are used in processes such as packaging, marketing, distribution, and assurance of safety and nutritional quality of food.

- Industrial Engineering: Physics, chemistry, maths, mechanics.
These are part of the plan of study because they provide the concepts and techniques that help us to understand the quality analysis and statistical information on the organization's processes, products and services. This career is specialized on creating someone who is capable of solving problems.
