<title>I chose to use this game because it challenges me, and it is FREE. Some levels tend to be difficult which is why I feel as though it can help us as language learners. Not all digital games can be successful in language learning, and sometimes books are the better option. In this case, I think it is safe to say that it most definitely contributes to a broader vocabulary! (SCROLL DOWN)</title>

<title>I chose to discuss this &#39;Sims&#39; in this Padlet too purely because I do not find it as a useful way to learn languages through games, unless you want to learn the made-up language of the &#39;Sim&#39; characters. I also discussed this game in the google doc form, and highlighted the fact that although it has subtitles in English, it only translates from (SCROLL DOWN) the language of the Sims! I think this game is a fitting example of a game that may seem like it can help you improve your languages, but in reality, I would strongly advise you to stick to the books if this is your intentions with using this game.</title>

<title>Firstly, I would like to draw your attention to a game I personally am found of. I also discussed this on the google doc form last week. I find that this game would be predominantly beneficial for those who are learning English as a second language. However, it is certainly useful for us native speakers too. It challenges our cognitive senses by getting us to think on the spot. (SCROLL DOWN) It includes levels of four pictures in which you must think of a word that corresponds to all four pictures. It can be tricky!</title>

<title>According to Cornillie, Thorne and Desmet, digital game-based language learning is something that has significantly expanded over time (Cornillie et al, 2012). This, however, does not surprise me, considering how dependent we are on social media (as I have discussed in previous blogs). We no longer depend on non-traditional sources, instead, we are opting to using (SCROLL DOWN) games more often (Heitin, 2016). If this is not something you do, I highly recommend it! It undoubtedly diminishes your workload.</title>
