Byzantines kept Greece and Rome together and lasted for 1000 years. Cultural diffusion was used because different cultures spread through the empire like Greece and Rome and also ideas and beliefs were also being spreaded. Constantine was a Roman emperor and moved the capital of his empire to Constantinople, which was named after himself.
