This skeleton is the amesbury aechery who lived about 4300 years ago.

Studies done on his teeth show that he came from near the alps. He was buried near Stonehenge with many objects including flint arrow heads, copper knives and the gold hair ornaments.

All that glitter is gold

The picture shows items from a huge hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold, which was found in Stanfordshire in 2003. The hoard is thought to have come from the kingdom of Mercia.

Whenever the Romans conquered a place they immediately began to develop it to be more like Romes. The town was often planned around a forum, which was an open courtyard used as a meeting place or for holding markets. The building were built in a Roman style and sold Roman food.
