At the beginning of the movie Lightning Mcqueen says his mythical phrase: Speed, I'm fast, a winner 41 losers I eat the losers. He heads out to the race and on the last lap to become Piston Cup champion as a rookie he punctures 2 rear tires then the other 2 title contenders Chick Hicks and Strip Weathers approach and cross the finish line at exactly the same time. Going to California where the decisive race would take place, lightning mcqueen's truck falls asleep and the door opens, lightning gets out of the truck and gets lost, he ends up arriving in Radiator Springs, a town on Route 66 where he destroys the road and his condemnation would be to fix it. Without realizing it, he meets Doc Hudson, a legend of the piston cup.
