Language connects to your identity more than people think. What language you speak doesn't define you but it can show how good of a person you are. It relates because where you come from is what language you speak. I am from America but my family is from Europe, Russia, and Germany. My past family members have spoken all of those languages, which is so cool and I would love to learn, but I am now more focused on two other languages. Hebrew and Spanish. People also have different accents according to where they are from. You can identify where people are from by what language they speak on the daily.

I think Language is an important part of people's identity because everybody is different and where you come from can be a part of that difference. Some people have accents or religions that come from where they are from and that can be a big part of someones life.
