As part of the Erasmus+ project, our school’s students created three interactive Action Bound challenges that align with the themes of the initiative. These challenges allow participants to explore nature, culture, and history in an engaging and educational way.

The first Bound is designed to help students and visitors gain a deeper understanding of their local area, including its historical landmarks and natural monuments. Through interactive tasks, participants can discover the rich heritage and environmental significance of their surroundings.

The second Bound was developed for the project’s international guests, offering an active exploration of Druskininkai. This experience includes visits to the famous mineral water springs, the city’s historical sites, and the M.K. Čiurlionis Museum, providing insights into the cultural and natural treasures of the area.

The third Bound invites participants to engage in a friendly competition within the Kriūkai School’s environment. It encourages them to take scenic walks through the picturesque Kriūkai surroundings, learn about ancient trees, and deepen their knowledge of local biodiversity through interactive challenges.

These Action Bound experiences not only enhance students’ learning but also promote active exploration, environmental awareness, and cultural appreciation among all participants.

As part of the Erasmus+ project, participants had the opportunity to engage in an enlightening seminar led by a representative from the Panemuniai Regional Park Information Center. The seminar took place along an educational trail in Šilinė, Jurbarkas District, offering a practical and immersive learning experience.

During the seminar, attendees were introduced to rare flowering plants and trees, which bloom during the spring season. They explored various natural habitats and examined the effects of climate change on these plant species. The session also covered the increasing presence of invasive plant species, which are gradually migrating from southern regions due to rising temperatures. Participants gained insights into the challenges posed by these species and learned about methods used in Lithuania to control their spread.

The seminar was highly informative, providing participants with valuable botanical knowledge and a deeper understanding of environmental conservation efforts. Through hands-on exploration and expert guidance, attendees left with a greater appreciation of Lithuania’s natural landscapes and the ecological changes shaping them.

Nature walk in Panemuniai regional park

The Kaunas Botanical Garden hosted a seminar titled “Ancient Trees in Lithuania and Their Survival Challenges”, organized as part of the XX LTTA - 5 activities project. Participants explored conservation strategies, the ecological significance of old trees, and the impact of climate change on Lithuanian forests.

Attendees not only listened to expert insights but also took part in educational activities. They had the chance to observe blooming plants, visit the botanical garden's orangery, and witness firsthand the effects of climate change on certain tree species. A major concern highlighted during the seminar was the vulnerability of aged, weakened trees, which are increasingly at risk due to environmental factors.

A key discussion point was the fight against invasive species and the measures taken to protect valuable trees. Experts shared practical examples and solutions aimed at preserving Lithuania's tree heritage for future generations.

This event provided valuable knowledge to both nature enthusiasts and specialists, while the XX LTTA project contributed to an important environmental mission—saving ancient trees. The seminar combined science and practical approaches, offering an excellent opportunity for nature exploration and sustainable environmental initiatives.
