-I'd like to bring the responsibility of a media user to the table as a topic because i think that a good majority of the problems we encounter
with media literacy can be solved if the user is well knowledgeable about the situation they are in. I think we should teach
"Safety" in general to children as a school topic because people need to be able to realize when they are in danger and when they are safe.
That includes using media too.

First of all, I would like to make a definition about Digital Citizenship.

A digital citizen is a citizen who can criticize when using information and communication resources, knows the ethical consequences of his online behavior, can make ethical online decisions, does not abuse technology, and encourages the right behavior when communicating and collaborating in the digital world.

So, Why is Digital Citizenship Education Necessary?

This training is necessary for users to exercise and defend their democratic rights and responsibilities online and to support and protect human rights, democracy and the rule of law in cyberspace.

In some countries, schools also offer “Digital Citizenship Education” to help young people develop an awareness of the legal ramifications of their online activities, as well as to improve their online competence, engagement and creativity.

I strongly suggest that everyone should be educated for Digital Citizenship.
