When interviewing my mom, who was born in 1979, she told me that growing up technology wasn't too big at the time. After some research I saw that in 1979 the Sony Walkman was created as well as the first commercial digital camera. My mom told me that when she was a teenager they didn't have cell phones and social media like Instagram and TikTok did not exist yet.

My dad told me pretty much the same thing that my mom did, he was born in 1977. In 77' the Radio Shack TRS-80 personal computer was created along with the Atari 2600 gaming console. He said that growing up technology wasn't a very big interest of his because he was always outside with his friends, or even in highschool he was focused on sports.

Now my brother was born in 2003 which isn't too far behind me, but him and I had a similar experience with technology growing up. We were both alive for the first ever Ipad to come out and we eventually had one as we got older. But for my brother he grew up with the Nintendo DS, I had one as well. His was grey and mine was pink. he never cared much for technology either because we were always outside riding bikes and scooters and having fun.
