In the beginning, she goes to school in the first couple of chapters. But, her world turns upside down when her mother has a baby girl. Her family is devastated . Amal has to help around the house because her mom won’t do anything. Amal really wants to go to school but she knows she can’t. She tries helping her mom the best she can so she can go back to school. One day, she goes to the market and gets some food for her mom and she has just enough money to get a pomegranate. But on her way home she gets hit by a car and the person tries paying her for her pomegranate. Amal doesn’t give up and she keeps her pomegranate, but in the end she finds out that that man was very imortant. His name is Jawad Sahib.
