In case of any any technical issues, it often helps if you leave the meeting and simply join again. You are free to agree on any other platform, too. In the first meeting make sure to exchange email addresses (and any other way of communicating, if you are used to using a specific service for messaging). Agree on who will schedule the meeting on Zoom and send the invitation link. Remember the time difference when scheduling!!!
