Currency: You are recommended to use a recent source which is published in the last 5 years.

Relevance: You should make sure if the source you find helps you to answer your assignment task. Also check if it is too complex or simple.

Authority: You should check the credentials. Think about questions such as is the source peer reviewed or linked to a uni/government department.

Accuracy: You should check if the source is accurate by searching if it has a bibliography or evidence of findings.

Purpose: You should think about what the author is trying to tell you. For example, are they aiming at persuading readers or is it commercial? Or is it biased?

Secondary sources provide second-hand information and commentary from other researchers. Examples include journal articles, reviews, and academic books. A secondary source describes, interprets, or synthesizes primary sources.

Primary sources are more credible as evidence, but good research uses both primary and secondary sources.

2. To evaluate the source, it is important to know that it is relevant to topic, if the book/article is recently made and if the author has the proper education to the topic. C.R.A.A.P is an acronym for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy and Purpose. This method is efficient and very helpful in researching good sources.

Primary academic resource is a direct information from the source about the topic while secondary academic resource is an information that is received not based from their own findings but from other researchers’ findings. It is preferable to use primary academic resource because the findings found are based on actual experiments that are made by yourself than other researchers.

  Peer-reviewed means other experts review the journal article before it was published. By doing this, it offers criticism and improvements to the academic journal or book. 

2. How do we evaluate the sources we use for our research? What is C.R.A.A.P. test?
CRAAP is an acronym and stands for Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose.
We can evaluate sources depending on our purpose. the sources better choose from last 5 years, (it depends on the needs, we can use old sources as well) and had to peer review.
