-One thing that surprised me was that I fall into the category that describes being inconsistent. This will allow me to further reflect and make changes to the current practices I use.

-One takeaway is that I need to be more consistent especially when trying alternative discipline methods therefore I can see effective results.

I learned that I think a certain way, but it is uncomfortable to have the conversation about what I think about discipline.

One thing I learned about myself is that I’m an innovated disciplinarian, just taking the time to assign and discipline.

One key a takeaway from this is there is many different ways and forms of discipline, but it’s important to have the discussions with the students about their behavior even if it means having difficult conversations.

I was surprised that I’m an innovative disciplinarian, because I always consider myself to be more traditional.

One takeaway I had is that I need to continue to communicate with all stakeholders because that is a strategy that allows innovative disciplinarians to be more effective and resolve unwanted behaviors.

One thing that surprised me is, I thought I would have fallen into the innovative disciplinarian. This is an area of growth for me. It is a tough balance at times especially with students that are big externalizers.

I learned that, even though discipline is important, there is different ways to discipline that doesn’t include suspension as the only answer.

I need to educate myself on different ways to use restorative discipline.

One that that surprised me was I fell in the category of Emergent Discipline meaning I could be inconsistent with practices based on pressures and feelings.

A take always was that I should be mindful of my implicit biases and educate my self on new innovative ways which discipline could be implemented.
