This story was so intriguing and just plain weird too! I really don't know how to soak it in and understand it or if I even understood it the way I am supposed to. So, from what I took from this story was that while she was trying to get better and it seemed that she was crazy for seeing things in the wallpaper, it was really a spirit of some kind that took over her body. This story was written in person and I really loved reading what she was thinking. She apparently had a sickness of I think it was nervous depression or something like that. Which was really amusing and interesting to read along to. I couldn't put the book down because I really wanted to know the end result. This point of view was great. The setting really made the character come to life I think. It really changed her way of thinking and made her focus in on something rather than her sickness. The atmosphere for sure complimented the character too as well as the plot. I loved how the Narrator really put some detail in the daytime and nighttime parts. The diction the characters used was a little off for me and I can't quite put my finger on it. I had to read some of those parts twice to understand what they were talking about. For me, this story was FULL of Symbolism. For example is the odor of the color yellow, I think it symbolizes something greater than she thought. From what I have understood, is that the theme of this story is that the crazy yellow wallpaper had some evil spirit or something in it and it took over Jane's sickly body. Maybe it's more than what I can think of. Sometimes it's hard for me to think of something that's not so literal, but I guess it is just what you receive from the story.

I think this is kind of Ironic because the color yellow is meant for happiness, sunshine, and etc. In this story it is the complete opposite.
