There are some areas in the world where rent is expensive, an example of one place is San Francisco. Due to the rent over here being so high people there are many people who want the federal minimum wage to go up. But if it goes up what can happen? Well there could be many small businesses shutting down because they don't make enough money to give their workers a raise. There are many ups and downs with this causing people to not know what to do with this.

But what I know now is that if we can raise the minimum wage there would be many stores going out of business, or they would have to fire their workers due to not having the money to pay them. Not many businesses can pay all their workers $15 per hour. Also it cost money to keep the store up and running and pay for the materials they use. So bringing it up to $15 per hour can easily ruin a business, especially a small one.
