It is hard to explain to others how I experience the world. I am identify as a female, Mexican American/Latina, second generation in the U.S, and first gen in higher ed. I have explored my sexual orientation and I think I might be bisexual but I am currently dating a man so explaining that to people is hard. The intersectionality of these identities sometimes make me feel like I do not neatly fit into any one "box" or experience.

Learning about intersectionality helped me better understand myself. Made me feel more in control and less helpless about the things I experience. Now I've learned to try to honor all parts of myself as best as I can. Art helps me braid all my identities together and share them with others, especially music. <3

I experience intersectionality as a Chicano Male who is system impacted by racist nativist immigration policy, Toxic Masculinity, and the current education system.

As a queer femme Latina, Within Latinx culture I have questions of how it my wife going to take care of me she's a girl and I need a man, so I experience a lot of sexism.

That's a tough question because I see Intersectionality as not simply symbolic, but material. In other words there is also a spatial intersectionality that we live on the daily.

I feel I've experienced intersectional discrimination during multiple and different doctors visits because of being a woman of color, working-class, and because my body doesn't fit the standards of what is "healthy"

It's hard to pinpoint or express intersectionality for me because it is so faceted. That also changes throughout different times of my life. The way in which I might prioritize how I identify or what is important might be different another day, or dependent on the situation.
