Exp: NH4+.<br><br>2) for the Lewis structure, can we use x to represent the valence electron in another element instead of using dot? Example: I use dot to represent valence electron of O but use x to represent valence electron of H in H2O.</div>]]></description>

1) there’s new terms which is domain and non bonding domain. Is it wrong if we use lone pair and bond pair especially in essay or explanation?

         <description><![CDATA[<div>First of all, thank you for those explaination but here are my summary for today and also a question from me.<br>SUMMARY :<br>   There are 3 types of bond which is ionic, covalent and metallic bond. Ionic bond formed when metal transfer the electron to non metal to achieve octet , has the electrovalent bond which is strong so the boiling point and melting point is higher (&gt;300 degree celcius). Covalent bond formed when the non metals shared the electron to achieve octet  and has lower boiling point and melting point as the covalent bond easily to break down than ionic bond. Covalent bond has two type of molecules which is non polar and polar. Metallic bond is the bond in the bond. Lewis structure has 5 steps to follow to make sure it is the right structure.<br>Single, double and triple bond and also lone pair count as one domain. Need to remember the VSEPR. Theres no sp4 for the hybridization.<br>QUESTION<br>1) Why for example 1 we do not need to divide by 2 for the entalphy of atomisation and meanwhile for example 2 we need to multiply with 2 ? Is it for example 2 as the final is MgCl2? And why not divide by 2 for example 1 so it will be KCl ?<br>Thank you and sorry cause I feel little bit confuse about it.</div>]]></description>

Doing this allows the molecule to be more stable(low energy)<br>1. what does the 'electron "domains" are all negatively charged means?<br>2. what does the "low energy" means? Is it means the more the electrons spread out, the less the repulsion within molecules, the lower the energy so more stable?<br>3.
