A car crash that changed his life due to the fact that he also got injured, and is now in a wheelchair.  Therefore, he had to establish to a new life of living with his aunt and uncle, "The Smiley's".His family doesn't really show importance to his achievements in school.

The library is one of Jamie and his friend's favorite spots to hang out. It is up to Jamie to make money for the school, and save the library.

Jamie then told the kids to go in the halls and hold up banners to keep the library. As a result, the principal kept the library and Ms. Denning didn't lose her job.

Jamie finds out that his middle school has a brand new principal. The principal wants to get rid of the library. James Patterson writes, "The new principal wants to shut down the library" (Patterson, 64). This quote in the book shows that it will be very hard to save the library. However, Jamie and his friends will try their best to save the library. 

           Despite the fact that it will be hard to save the library, Jamie and his friends are going to do everything they can to save the library. Jamie comes up with the idea to make a comedy show to help kids learn new things by grabbing books. Patterson explains, "Everybody is having fun learning new stuff and giving it a goofy gag line" (Patterson, 241). 
The book is showing that many kids are at the library and they are all learning things. 

          Jamie gathers everybody and they make great plans to save the library. Patterson writes, "Our five-hundred-plus library-loving comedians march down the halls behind me" (Patterson, 270). This quote shows that Jamie and students marched down the halls with banners held up. The principal finally decides to keep the library because many students started to go to the library. Even though Jamie and his friends had trouble saving the library they were able to solve the problem. As a result, the library was saved and Ms. Denning was happy.
