example: The distance the electromagnetic wave can travel depends on the power of the signal , which is measured in watts. When taking a long trip in a car, you may have noticed that you can listen to your favorite radio station for an hour or so, and then the signal gradually fades out. A city in another state can use the same frequency as the radio station in your hometown without interference, as long as the cities are farther apart than the reach of their signal

Radio wave:A radio wave is generated by a transmitter and then detected by a receiver. An antenna allows a radio transmitter to send energy into space and a receiver to pick up energy from space. Transmitters and receivers are typically designed to operate over a limited range of frequencies.
Microwave: is a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths ranging from one meter to one millimeter; with frequencies
between 300 GHz.Microwaves oven are fast efficient, they channel heat energy directly to the molecules into food. It heats food like the sun heats us which is used by radiation
Infrared: Infrared is a type of radiation, infrared light is part of the EM spectrum that people encounter most in everyday life, even though much of it goes unnoticed. Infrared light is invisible to human eyes , but people can feel it as heat. For example the Earth is full of infrared waves, these waves are emitted by anything which is capable of emitting heat.
Visible: The visible spectrum is the light that is visible to humans. We see because of the visible spectrum.
Ultraviolet: The ultraviolet is the the light that has shorter wavelengths than visible light. Although we can't see them ,some insects such as bumblebees, can see them.
X-ray:A photon of electromagnetic radiation of very short wavelength, ranging from about 10 down to 0.01 galvanometers, and very high energy, ranging from about 100 up to 100,000 electron volts. X-rays could be used for photographs of bones.
Gamma wave: it's a penetrating electromagnetic radiation of a king from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei.Gamma radiation have been used in medicine to kill cancer cells.
