Strategy - I have felt office politics much more lately, since I got a promotion (at my other job) very recently. I am starting to second guess a lot of my decisions because I want to respect opinions of those who have more experience than me. But I also have to remember that I got to where I am, at my age, for a reason. It is time to stop doubting myself and evolve into my next version (full-time faculty).

Family - This passage talks about how you should hold your loved ones close because there isn't a lot of time to live in life. So the song is saying you should spend as much time as you can with your loved ones. Everyday I always value my family and I wish I could visit them consistently, but I'm becoming more and more busy with my life. Sometimes I wish I could just drop everything I'm doing and visit my grandparents before anything else happens.

Freedom- This passage talks about not being able to control things in life and how you have to just go with the way life goes. Control is something I struggle with and I want to be able to just let go and "go with the wind" in the next year.

Fun and Happiness- This passage is the reason I picked this song. It just reminded me of living life and having fun, knowing that one day you will have to look back at life.

Independence- This passage talks about living your life the way you want and not how others want you to live it. This is important to me because a lot of my family tells me how to live my life and as I start college I'm starting this new chapter of my life.

Happiness-It is also about living life in the moment and writing your story along the way "filling up your pages" while the rest is still "unwritten" because you haven't got to those specific stories yet. This is important cause I try not to worry so much about the future and I live in the present.

• This passage reflects the importance of having faith when life becomes difficult because it is very important to know that when difficult times do approach, when you have faith and imagine things getting better you will have a more positive outlook on life, and this could even boost your mental health. Achievement- this is one of my values because it sets a goal and is a way to keep someone motivated, achievement can be the biggest reward and shows that your efforts were worth something. Everyone wants achievement and there are so many ways to reach this, to some people this may be their biggest personal goal in their whole life.

Faith- the lyrics saying "I ain't gonna lose" shows how much confidence and how beneficial having faith in yourself leads you in life. Being doubtful of yourself can affect you drastically. Empathy- This passage talks about the suffering of others and how we shouldn't just ignore it. Showing that we need to be empathetic to the struggles of others and not be selfish with our love.

Success- I moved away for college to study what I want to be so leaving my home and the people I’ve only been around from the moment I was born was hard but I will return to them being happier and with more success so I give back and spoil them, money was short growing so being able to give my siblings or niece and nephew what they’ve always wanted or pay off things they need would really fulfill me knowing they don’t have to worry about it like I did

Determination- I do value determination like how it is displayed in this song. Ignoring the distractions around you whilst being focused on your main goal. I also don’t let others affect me and my own decisions that I make in my life.

Success- I really do value and strive for success in my life. By no means am I 100% successful in my life or even close to that honestly but at the end of the day I try to make sure that the path I’m on/ chose will lead me to some type of success

Commitment - the song “Lies Lies Lies” by Morgan Wallen is about still having feelings for your ex while they don’t feel the same. Commitment is a value to me because it means seeing the end result of something and being in it for the long run for a good result, which is important to me because that is what college is to me.

Adventure - the song “Open The Gate” by Zach Bryan is about building your own life and creating your own adventure. The song embodies my value of adventure in the entire verse I pasted. Adventure is important to me because it helps me grow as a person and discover new things.

Challenge- These lyrics show the way that challenges can be used to help balance the way that we think. It shows us that when things can get difficult there are ways to deal with them and those things can help you grow as a person. The challenges are what makes you feel better in uncomfortable situations while also finding ways to deal with them and learn the next time that you have to deal with them.

Balance- This shows me that balance can be the best thing to find and it helps find ways to keep it all connected while making sure that the balances don’t get out of control.

Commitment: The song talks about how he looks for god on the daily, supporting my religious beliefs, staying committed to god’s plan and believing in him to protect him.

Confidence: The song talks about how he has to go home, examine himself and everyone else around him, and now has to focus on himself. I want that confidence to believe in myself and better myself hoping that everything will be okay when the worst comes.

For me having fun in life is very important. What's the point of living if life becomes so stagnant and boring. "I drive away, leave it behind us without a trace, Live for the day, dance in the moonlight." Makes me think of young adults doing stupid things that are fun.

Success and Stability: I think this part of the song relates to success and stability because it talks about getting money. In my opinion a big part of success and stability is having money so just like the song said "I'ma keep chasin' money 'til my heart stop runnin'."

Success: This talks about how people hate on him for getting his money up and working hard everyday to make it out the hood. He been staying in his own line trying to make it and people just speak on his name and try to not make him succeed. Ever since i can remember people always hated for some type of reason and all that so that why i can relate to this song in a way.

Helpfulness- Like the song I also want to help those in danger. I think this value is super cool because you care about others and you are making a positive difference. Being helpful makes you feel good.
