Academic managers want us to do PD and sign up to be champions etc, but there is no time given to do this- Teachers have lives outside the BC

My line manager tals about 70% of my PD should happen on the job ( not courses or INSETs) but it still means extra hours , doing online research, peer Observing other teachers, reflection etc....these are all very valuable but they do not happen in the contracted hours ( on the job)

More practical INSETT sessions

Last year we decided to do Teacher meetings on Friday at 16.00 but now they are at 15.00. Csn we pls do 16.00; also having them recorded for T that are not there or share main points after; many HP can not attend

More preparation if new things are coming ( I know that they don't get enough time or training either, so maybe this is more for the organisation - make sure academic managers/ teachers are trained enough and prepared before asking them to implement new things)

forward our feedback to higher levels; academic managers seem to give feedback to cluster leads (Stephen) but is it taken forward? E.g. parents day,IELTS Teens

Can we not constantly be signed up to do pilots

Being able to use the courses we have done, e.g. mentoring, IELTS etc; you do a course but then are not given the opportunity to do anything with it

We need more TCAs; some times there is one TCAs for two floors; this is not their mistake as they are overworked; especially in MAD ( it's crazy, 2 TCAs for all the classes- it' too hard on them!!!!) ....and it affects everyone TCA, Ts and students

We need to know exactly what tasks the TCAs are responsible for and which ones not; we don't want to ask them for things that are not their responsibility

Maybe give TCAs walkie talkies so it is easier for them to communicate- sometimes you tell one TCA something but then it is not communicated to the other TCAs ( again, we don't have enough TCAs so they have to deal with many things and things may get ' lost')

Having a TCA 'duty' rota displayed in the staff room- which TCA is responsible for what on what day and who is cover etc

Being informed about new students coming to class mid term or even later- I come to class and new SS show up in week 5 or later without anyone telling me

Yes it's a global organisation but there are still local needs and these are ignored

Letting us( on the ground) make desicions on what is best for our students and for us- being able to adapt 'things' to the local context ( e.g. implementing parents day, PP4/5 level based? ); it's like one size fits all- imagine we would teach like this?

Quality over quantity- the BC expects us to deliver quality teaching and continue with our PD but doesn't give us the time to do it propperly because teachers teaching their full hours is the number one priority; teachers should be given hours down for TYLEC and DipTESOL if you want us to get the most out of it

Can we please have Teachers' meetings on Friday at 4:00 PM?

I sometimes feel that some of the teachers' meetings are a bit unnecessary and repetitive. It might be more efficient to share a PowerPoint with all the new information and then, if needed, have a Q&A session. We could consider sending a poll to the teachers to check if they have questions about the PowerPoint, and based on their feedback, decide whether to hold a Teachers' Meeting.

We need more practical training sessions. Something I could use immediately in my class. Bring them back please.

We need more TCAs please. I can't go to the toile because a TCA is on a break time rota. I have to wait for the one TCA in my floor to finish supervising two classrooms to be able to go to the restroom. Asking teachers to plan their bathroom breaks isn't a practical solution.

We're often tasked with covering classes, sometimes on short notice, but we're not provided with any materials, information, or assistance. TCMS is clearly not working. We need a new system.

Can we have both age-based and level-based classes for primaries?

I really think it might be a good idea to have teachers handle placement testing again.

I was looking forward to having a Parents' Day this year, providing an opportunity for teachers to have individual discussions with parents. I'm wondering what happened regarding that plan?

to sum up, it feels as though we're constantly reiterating the same points, and there's a growing sentiment that our voices aren't truly being heard. There's a lack of visible actions or responses to address the issues we've raised again and again.

We expect a white big board in the teachers' room. We expect materials and computers that work and remotes for the new ACs.

We expect TCAs to be present on every floor.

We expect more efficient and faster solutions for deactivating emails and TCMS accounts.

We expect a cover system that is clear and transparent.

We expect to receive payment on time.

We need water dispensers for both teachers and students.
