I suspect that Anna Garcia was murdered by Erica Piedmont and Alex Garcia. Due to the autopsy findings, we know Anna fought back. I believe Alex Garcia and Anna had a physical altercation in which Alex beat Anna around the head and strangled her. Later on Erica came into the room and stabbed Anna in the chest. After realizing the magnitude of the possible consequences of their actions, Erica and Alex went to a Motel 6 and booked a room. I believe the couple wrapped the body up in the stolen bed sheets from the Motel 6 and used the hotel cart to transport the body to their car. Erica quickly went up to her apartment and gathered everything she believes would expose their actions and she put the murder weapon in the washing machine. The body was left outside the dumpster while the garbage bags filled with evidence were thrown into the empty dumpster, leaving officers to suspect them as related to the crime.
