Hello, I’m Aya Jasem. People also call me ayooya, aye, etc. I’m 12 years old and I like watching marvel and learn more about the cast. I started watching marvel with my dad; sometimes it would be just glances of what he would be watching, but in other times I would sit with him and watch what he’s watching whether it’s horror, adventure, etc. Eventually I started watching marvel by myself and learned more about them. They entertain me and I find it rather interesting. I don’t like tomatoes, pickles and probably more things I don’t remember. I like my dog Lady, my friends, my family, editing, late night calls with my friends, going out with my sister, etc.

My top 5 places in Kuwait are: the Avenues, The 360 Mall, Hateen for Caribou, going to the desert, and my friends houses.

Top 5 places to visit around the world: I would like to go to New York, visit Holland/Netherlands, to see Italy, I would like to see France again, and to visit Finnland for the first time.

Journal Entry 1: I was at my friends house for my birthday 8 people were there, including me. We played hide and seek which was more enjoyable than it probably sounds. We (more like Ghaliah and Malak) made a cake that was really fluffy, and I actually quite liked it since I’m not a big fan of vanilla but I changed my mind. When most people left we started fighting (more like playing-ish) who was going to sit on the bouncy ball. It was funny and fun. It was also funny when we gathered on the counters and chairs eating the cake from the plate itself. We then took pictures, TikTok’s, and videos. I was the first person to arrive that day so my friend and I were waiting for everyone else outside. When Deema and Malak arrived we went across the street and took pictures of each other as well as videos. We laughed and made jokes even if they didn’t make a lot of sense.

My 2nd happy moment was also at a friends house. It was Deemas’ birthday (I’m now noticing a pattern of these birthday parties) at Basmas’ house. Each person brought their own food board; I brought fries. It was about Gargean time so we decided to go outside and give food we had left. While being outside there were a group of boys, they were between the ages of 5-8. They were on scooters and went back and forth. There was one kid that put his hand on a van and ran with it. We all started filming thinking it was a Jinn (ghost) and laughed, well since no usual kid would do that. We were locked out for a few minutes but Basmas’ nanny opened it up. We sang happy birthday and put on songs. Then Deema had to go but her driver couldn’t find her, so her sister and teacher came and picked her up. The others (Me included) left later around 11-1am.

Journal Entry 2: The pandemic has definitely affected me academically and personally. School has been a bumpy roller coaster, especially with online, real life and getting the virus and not being able to come to school. I now see school in a different perspective than I had before the pandemic. Now, I feel like it has its ups and downs but that doesn’t mean I’m dumb or smarter than others, it’s just what I took in class. Before I usually would just think “oh I can’t do this because it’s too hard” or “this is too easy”, etc. I now understand things I probably didn’t younger. I now know when I need a break or need to keep working. Beforehand I wasn’t very social I preferred to be alone but now I’m very open and social, I’m surprised with myself, but I really do appreciate my friends even if we act like we hate each other. They’re funny without even trying, it’s fun and enjoyable talking with them. I do have friends in other classes. One of them was my friend since 1st grade, actually.

Journal Entry 3: I don’t have any official plans since we just usually start doing anything when the break starts. We might go to the chalet (sha-lei) for maybe a week. Travel for 1-2 weeks max, or we might just stay home and go to the mall and spend summer doing that. Visit my aunts and cousins, sleep over at their house, stuff like that. Might even sleep at a friends house for once. There’s multiple birthdays so maybe parties. That’s all I know for now but I hope I have fun!
