I decided to take the digital photography II class during second semester mainly because I thought it would be an easy class and I have already completed Digital Photography 1. I have had some interest in photography for a while but wasn't really sure if I wanted to make a career out of it. Taking the digital photography 1 class has shown me that photography is not for me. I love taking pictures on my own but not told to take them. I enjoy nature photography but don't enjoy taking pictures of people of items. I don't enjoy editing. The goal of this assignment was to take a photo that was similar to the professional headshot, create a frame, and place the photo in the frame. After that we added a couple color filters to make it look more vintage. The goal was to capture a message in 6 words. There can be so much depth within so little words and I think that was one of the fun interesting things about it. We were supposed to take pictures in the style they took them. The photographer I chose to study was Ansel Adams. This picture is one I took. I saw this bird sitting on the fence and thought why not try to take a picture. Once I got inside and looked at the picture I was very pleased with how it turned out. I used a total of 12 photos coined together to try to make a picture of me. It was a fun assignment and I would recommend this to future classes.
