This picture was captured during the first week of being in digital photography II. This introduction assignment to the class was a lot of fun and a huge learning experience. I enjoyed learning the basics of professional headshots and all the should and shouldn't do's that go along with it. My best photo from this assignment is the one above, taken of Sela Lowrance.

My name is Hope Gray, I am currently a sophomore at Kearney High School. I decided to take the digital photography II class during second semester mainly because I thought it would be an easy class and I have already completed Digital Photography 1. I have had some interest in photography for a while but wasn't really sure if I wanted to make a career out of it. Taking the digital photography 1 class has shown me that photography is not for me. I love taking pictures on my own but not told to take them. I enjoy nature photography but don't enjoy taking pictures of people of items. I don't enjoy editing. I think that photography should be a way to express yourself not feel forced to get the perfect picture.

This picture was taken for the second project in Digital Photography II. The goal of this assignment was to take a photo that was similar to the professional headshot, create a frame, and place the photo in the frame. After that we added a couple color filters to make it look more vintage. We completed this project with the intention to take and create photos that brought us back in time and appeared to be take from a polaroid camera.

For one of our projects this semester we did a 6 word memoir. The goal was to capture a message in 6 words. There can be so much depth within so little words and I think that was one of the fun interesting things about it. I chose to do a red blurred filter because it was heavy and the value of my 6 words are a heavy topic.

It was interesting to do the clone project. I wasn't a huge fan of the project but it was still an interesting experience. It's kind of cool to create myself in one scene 12 times but also kind of boring and overwhelming. Overall I didn't enjoy this project

Someone else in the class helped me put and did the angel wings while I did the colors. I was super pleased with how this photo turned out. This is definitely something I will be experimenting with as I move forward.

For one of our assignments, our job was to research and study a photographer of our choice. We were supposed to take pictures in the style they took them. The photographer I chose to study was Ansel Adams. This picture is one I took.
