Also pupils gain from it because they have targets which they learn from just as much. We also need targets so that us a pupils, visitors or other teachers know what we need to work on. If we didn't have targets or a nice comment then we wouldn't know if our work was good enough or not. Marking is a nice thing for us to have in Westfield and that is why it is such an excellent school (the teachers are excellent as well.)

If my teacher just gave me a little tic it would make me feel like she doesn't really like her job and that wouldn't make me feel confident. 

The teachers may like marking the books so they might want to give us things that we should do and i don't think that teachers should change the way they mark.
