I've encouraged involvement but clearly articulating the "why" of the research project and why it matters to us as a collective. From there, I have been specific in defining the interest group and my desire to bring together diverse perspectives, levels of experience and expertise as part of this. Whilst I am looking to form a small group of co-researchers (6 - 10 people), I aim to increase access and participation in the study by providing a clear outline of what this involves i.e. providing an overview of the workshop structure, and building flexibility into this plan.
