These two images represent how senior citizens in particular are helped by the border. While there were more buses in the early 2000s, buses continue to ferry people from Detroit to Windsor in order to pay for medication particularly insulin. In the photo to the right is a recent photo of Bernie Sanders joining one of these caravans to buy insulin to raise awareness. Many people also buy Canadian drugs online due to laxer importation rules than Mexico.
