The Iron Curtain was a term used to describe the border between East and West Europe. USSR controlled East while NATO controlled the West.

United Nations Formed

The United Nations was formed October 24, 1945 after World War 2. Like the league of nations, the alliance before WW2, the main purpose was to create alliances. However, the UN had a military and power to enforce decisions, making it way more successful than the LON.

Marshall Plan

NATO Formed
