Well I’m the youngest in my family of 8. The only gen z in the fam surrounded by my millennial brothers and sisters. Not to mention, the only one who was born and raised in Johor while all of my siblings born in Selangor. I live with my mom in Mersing, a really small and remote district in Johor that is well known for its islands. Hello good people of English Grammar 1! Introducing me, myself and I, Athila binti Aziz. I was born on February 17 of 2003 and currently 18 years old. I am from the state of Tok Gajah; Pahang or more specifically Kuantan and I'm the youngest of three in my siblings.

I'm choosing this song particularly because of the "I AM FREE" vibe that was given through the lyrics and the melody and also because Imagine Dragons produced great songs, so why not, right?

My expectation for this course is I am hoping that I would improve my English's knowledge about grammar and make sure that one fine day my grammatical errors will be from many to zero. Learning takes times but hey, Rome was not build in a day.

Although I'm a bit scared for the new world, I know that there's something waiting for me outside of my room, right outside my safe spot and my comfortable bubble. After all, we are all born for a reason and I intend to find mine and fulfill my true calling as a human being.

One more song that I would like to include is the song by Banners - Someone To You. Although the lyrics might represent the feeling that someone have to another person, I on the other hand would like to highlight the part where the singer stated, "I just wanna be someone. Well doesn't everyone?"

I took the liberty to interpret that as in me being someone that matters one day and not just simply forgotten without a trace. Gone but never forgotten.

To be honest, I am really (I mean really really) bad at meeting new people moreover making new friends so I was very nervous during our first class but it turned out better than I expected. Well, life couldn’t be a nice and easy flowery road always, right? This is the challenge I need to face and I’m here for it! Madam Huda, you really helped me lessen my nervousness and I’m very grateful for that.

During my free time, I love to do some cooking. I also like to watch Korean dramas and movies. Or any movies in general (maze runner is my favorite series btw hihi). Other than that, I also love to dance! As a kpop fan, of course dancing is what I love to do. So learning a new choreography is what I do almost every day. In fact, back in my school, my group and I used to win a dance competition.

So, for the song choice. Well, the tittle speaks for itself. I choose ‘FUN!’ by fromis_9 because the lyrics expresses the fun in something and can’t wait for the next meet-up. Just like how I felt about this class. It’s its an up-tempo dance track with house and disco rhythms and showcases our bright energy. It’s a very energetic song. Hi everyone! My name is Geenadarshini. You can call me Geena. Most people tend to pronounce it inaccurately. It is pronounced as ge-e-na and not g-ee-na. I am 19 years old and of course, I don't look like one in the first place😂. Aside from that, I love reading works of literature and fiction. Personally, for me, writing is a form of meditation in itself. It provides for me a temporary escape from reality. Listening to songs actually reflects the emotions I am feeling so I am prone to listening to music. I am usually not an introvert but I can be joyful to the people I interact with. I love watching Korean dramas, Western movies but not Indian movies. Usually, people are more into their native language movies but I am the opposite of that concept.

I am a person who fights for the equality of all people. One of my goals is to become a feminist. For me, it is important to acknowledge that women of colour and poor ones are excluded from the original feminist movements. To this day, there is still sexism and misogyny going on.

Actually I don’t know what I like because I like EVERYTHING!! Okay, I remember !! I do like singing, very much. Because my mom was a singer back then. I like old songs and vibing through them. Hi first of all my name is Adibah Damia Hadzreen Binti Hazarol , but I dont like people to call me by the name adibah mhm for certain reasons it somehow makes me uncomfy so I love it when yall just call me by the name damia , hadzreen or hadz because I am well-known by that name 🤩 so I was born in putrajaya but moved to kedah in 2010 and lived here ever since . My zodiac sign is Libra , well i dont know about my moon sun and rising sign so i wont tell you about it. I will be 18 years old on 16th October this year hehe . I complete my schooling from SMK Lubok Merbau. I hve a small family which consist 7 members including me as the eldest , my three sisters , my dad , my mom and my grandma . my dad is a primary school teacher meanwhile my mom is a full-time house wife .

It's like whenever I feel like I wanna give up I used to think that nothing is really over until the moment I stop trying. So yeah here I am, my name is Kirtisha. Y'all can call me Kirti or y'all can also call me by my full name(Kirtisha) because my name isn't that long to give a nick name, HAHAHAHAHA! I'm unofficially 18 years old, born on 12 November and I'm from Banting,Selangor. Nice to know all of you. Everyone has their own hobbies and yeah even I have my favourite hobbies too. Some of my favourite hobbies are playing chess,dancing, shopping, travelling, reading books or novels, watching movies or TV shows especially dance shows and listening songs or musics.

Next, the reason why I choose this programme is because of my interest in English subject. Since when I started to study English, it had became one of my favourite subject and this programme offers me an opportunity to study more in depth about English. To be honest everyone, my skills and talents are really based on English programmes such as participating in choral speaking and poems competition and most importantly I've been an orator (EMCEE) each and every week at my school as a school prefect.

In this platform, I would also like to share about myself when I was studying at my primary and secondary school. At my primary school I was a school librarian prefect and at my secondary school I was a school prefect who is responsible and independent in holding the position of Group Leader 4. Moreover guys, I was the only Indian girl in the Top 15 Prefects List whereas everyone else where Malays.

Some of my uniqueness and specialties during my school time was that, I was an active school student and also an active athlete participating in school competitions and was also the member of chess club at my school. Furthermore as a self defense, I also joined Kelab Taekwondoo SK when I was 6 years old and I'm also one of the taekwondoo club member holding the position of Black Belt 2ND DAN since the age of 13. I've participated many taekwondoo tournaments in different categories and won many certificates and medals. I've also won many certificates and medals by involving myself in chess competitions, school's cross country and school's annual sports. Last but not least, I've also learned the Indian traditional dance and was also a 'Bharathanatyam' dancer.

Before I end my paddlet, I would like to say that, I had loads of fun and I really enjoyed my first day class with the sweetest lecturer, Madam Huda. I'm so excited for the upcoming classes with you Madam Huda. You even made me feel that English is much more easier than I think. I guess that's all from me this time. HI THERE ! My name is Au Shui Hing (Ray) and I'm 19 years old. I was bornt n raised in Kajang, Selangor. Besides my parents, I live with my 3 siblings, which is an elder sister, younger sister and a younger brother.

Some of u might ask, why are u 19, were u a peralihan student ? What you've been doing then if u were not a peralihan student ? Well I worked as a substitute teacher at SJKC SUNGAI CHUA for more than half year. ISTG it was soooo much fun, I love teaching so much, and this makes me wanna be a English teacher in the future, and this is why I applied for Diploma in English. To be honest, UPSI wasn't my first choice but IPG (Institusi Pendidikan Guru) is, but even if I didn't get the offer from IPG, I didn't regret to join UPSI instead. I can't wait to go to the campus and meet each and everyone !!!

Hello everyone! My name is Sharifah Noraini binti Syed Ahmad Kilap but you guys can just call me Pah, since it's easier to remember. I live in Kuantan, Pahang. My whole life has been in kuantan from the day i was born until now, my family has always liked staying here since it's a nice combination of the city and the suburbs.

I chose this song mostly because it reminded me of my childhood. My childhood growing up wasn't all sunshine and rainbows but it wasn't the worst, i think? I have a total of eight siblings and i am the youngest, with an age gap of thirteen years with my brother who is the 7th sibling. "wow that's a huge age gap"...i know right? Everyone in my family calls me the miracle baby mostly because of the fact that my mother gave birth to me when she was at the age of 45 and that i got the H1N1 virus when i was like 3 and survived it. Even i don't know how i survived that. But back to the topic, this song really described the relationship of my family members. My father was never really in the picture when i was a kid due to the fact that he was always busy with work overseas and he was never really good with children to begin with. Being the person who knows nothing about children, he would always buy books as gifts for me whenever he came back from work. I guess that's why i'm attached to books all the time becuase a part of me just wanted to replay back my childhood that wasn't really there. My mother was also a very busy person, she would leave early in the morning for work and come back home in the evenings. But don't worry guys because it's not like she left me unattended, i still had 7 siblings to take care of me, YEAYYY!
My siblings are like my second parents to me, showering me with tough love and care. So as a child it never really occured to me that when my parents argue or when my parents argue with my siblings, throwing hands were not normal.

As i grew older i grew more lonely, all of my siblings are married and they already have their own children. I'm always alone by myself at home and not being close to my parents does not make it any easier but this is just the way i live....until the day that i got into MRSM, i had to live in a dorm with friends. i was no longer lonely, it was always fun and i always had people who i could be with together all the time. but since spm is done and it's MCO time, my lonely days have come back. But don't be worried when you read this, because now i have you guys! New friends i can talk to when i'm confused because of work or just plain lonely. I was a bit nervous when i first got to know all of you but now it's alright.

So yeah, thank you for being my friends and i hope we will all become closer in the campus when we meet face to face! Hugs and kisses from me.

Hello everyone, my name is Mohamad Nazri Abadi Bin Ismail, you can call me Nazri or just simply Naz or RiRi. I am 18 years old (on my way to be 19 this year T-T). I was born and raised at Lahad Datu, Sabah. I am going to be 19 on 9th November this year. I have four siblings including me. I am the eldest among them. My parents own a small restaurant. Both of them run the restaurant and work really hard to support our family. I took STPM before but the pandemic made it hard for me to stay focus and unfortunately, I dropped out. I took Business and History when I was in STPM. It was hard actually and everything was different once you left high school. So I decided to apply for UPU for the second time and I got an offer to continue my study at UPSI, enrolling in Diploma In English program. I decided to pick English program because I simply love English.

A little bit about myself, I am an introvert (NOT AN ANTI SOCIAL, that is different) although I tried many times to be an ambivert. I rarely spend my time outside even before the pandemic. I love singing even though I don't think I am good at it and I also enjoy acting. I love listening to music, watching movies & Netflix series, American Drama, and K-Drama as well (WATCH VINCENZO, IT'S ONE OF THE BEST OUT THERE). Music has been a big part of my life even though I never express my love for music in a way that a lot of musician did (singing, writing lyrics, and producing songs). I want to learn piano and guitar so bad but I just don't have time and energy, also it's kind of late for my age to start learning about music BUT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. I mostly listen to BTS, Ariana Grande, Adele, Taylor Swift and many more English & American artist. (Side note : I don't listen to Malay song because I'm getting bored of Malay ballad, it's too many but I don't mind singing Malay song at karaoke though HAHAHA)

So talking about music, here I attach one of my favorite song from J-Hope (a member from BTS) which title is EGO. Lyrically, it doesn't relate that much to the program that I'm taking but you will get the picture of how I think and feel about enrolling myself into the program. It's a very fun song and it'll make you want to stand up and dance. And that's how I felt about the time I got an offer to join this program. English is very fun although I haven't set any career in mind to take after finishing Degree in the future, whatever job I'll get, it's going to be fun and joyful. I have 3 siblings and im the eldest. To be honest , im such a happy go lucky person but a very shy person at the same time. I can be so noisy with person I comfortable with. But this pandemic got me so introvert as I got no idea how to be friendly in social media . Now , let me tell you a bit about why im choosing Diploma in Englisg Programme to further my studies. It is because I love literature rather than memorizing such as History . To be honest , I want to continue my studies in nursing but I didn't manage to get the course. Therefore , Im choosing this course .

Hiii everyonee! And hello Madam Huda!♥️
Oh god I'm literally tearing up while typing all this out because I accidentaly deleted all the things I typed out before this right when I was about to publish it. So here we go again.
My name is Shalin Binti Mohd Sam and I am 17 years old this year. I was born in Penang but I lived in JB up until I was 4 years old. After that, my parents brought me and my 2 other siblings into Singapore and we lived there till I was 10 years old. We came back to Malaysia the following year and I spent my other 2 years of my primary school life in Penang. Right when I was about to enter high school, my family and I shifted back to JB and ever since then, I have been living here.

Alright now, I think I would describe myself as someone who is very easy going and friendly whenever I meet new people especially if you tend to approach me first. However, you might have to deal with the shy, weird and awkward phase of me before I'm no longer shy and comfortable enough to reveal the other side of me which is the total opposite of what I stated just now. I honestly love meeting new people and making new friends whenever I get the opportunity to do so. I totally cant wait to be able to go to our campus and meet all of you once this pandemic ends.

I am also someone who is very down to earth and loves to explore new activities. I would love to be able to feel like I am free and I really wish that one day, I can feel like a bird that is flying in the sky with no obstacle and nothing standing in their way to do anything. Although I know that life is not fun and exciting without any obstacle and there would always be bumps throughout our life, I still hope that I will get to feel like that one day.

I like motivating people and being there for them whenever they need anyone to talk to. The feeling of being able to make people feel better whenever they are having a rough day or going through a bad phase in life is actually one of the best feelings in life. It does not really matter if you only get to lend a hand, a shoulder or even just your ears, what really matters is the fact that you are able to be there for them and let them know that they are not going through whatever they are going through alone. From my opinion and my point of view, I think that it is the purest form of help you can do for anyone as a human being. So if anyone of who is reading this needs someone who talk to about anything, you can definitely contact me and feel free to talk to me whenever you want to!

Lastly, the song I chose to describe my feelings and expectation towards our Grammar class with Madam Huda is Roar by Katy Perry. The reason I chose this song is because this song makes me feel strong and powerful. It totally relates to my expectation from this grammar class which is to brush up my own grammar and one thing I know is, the key to a perfect English is having a perfect grammar and as I know, in this current world, English language has become the world's lingua franca. So, having a perfect English and being able to speak perfect English would definitely make me feel strong and powerful because I know that no matter where I might go in the future later on, I will get to communicate and speak with people whose native languages are different without having a hard time.

Okay…first I will be 18 years old next 23^rd September so for now I am still 17^th . Actually,I am a little sad because most of my friends are already vaccinated and I haven’t.I also the eldest daughter in my family and I have 4 siblings under me. Sometimes the pressure as the eldest child is there too but I am already used to it.I am also a cat lover but not too much cause I also allergic to them.

I also from Selangor in Telok Panglima Garang. I was born in Sabah and then moved in Selangor when I was 3 years old. Most of my classmates went to Matriculation College and I was the only one who got into UPSI and I also got an offer to Matriculation College in Penang but I chose the offer to UPSI because for a bright future.So this was like my new experience as a university student and I can’t wait to make new friends in UPSI.

I also enjoys watching anime like Attack On Titan and other anime too(don’t want to talk about anime too much for fear of writing a long kind of novel about anime) but please don’t think of me as weebs cause I am not like that.I also trying to watch some korean drama in the future but for now just anime.

My parents told me that I was named after my two elder sisters, the first of whom is Shaleni and the second of whom is Yaamini. Sha from Shaleni and Mini from Yaamini mix it up, and they've got me. That was a dumb flashback for my name. Im still unoffcially 18 for now cause my birthday on 31st August yezz im the national day baby y’all 👼🏻🇲🇾 i was born and raised in Penang. As for the song that represents my feelings about my grammar class, i choose “ Try Everything “ by Shakira. This song is from the movies Zootopia 🍿This song is very clear in the lyrical interpretation and it talks about how you should try even though you might fail. No matter how many times you fail, you gotta get yourself back up and fight. Be inspired because you can be anything you want to be, and nobody can every stop you from accomplishing your dreams in life. So if you’re fighting for your dream right now im so 🤬 proud of you babe 💜 i just love this song so much it really gives me good vibes and also motivates me whenever i listen to it. Despite that, Madam Huda reminds me the cute lil rabbit 🐇 who’s full of positive vibes and such cool person. My name is Sylma Arora but I prefer to be called Arora. I don't wan't people to call me Sylma because people will tend to misspell my name such as "Slyma" or "Salma" lol. Everyone kept asking me what does "cimut" mean in my WhatsApp name so I'll explain it one more time here. Cimut is a nickname that was given by my aunt. It was my first name as soon as I was born 18 years ago. That nickname is used a lot in my hometown. I was born and raised in Sarawak. No, I don't live in a tree. No, I don't use burung merpati to receive parcels. I get that comment a lot lol.

To be brutally honest I wasn't expecting getting accepted into UPSI at all. I was hoping to get into IPG but sadly I got rejected. My mother told me to pursue my studies in form 6 so that I can apply for IPG again after STPM. My friends always asked me "What if you got UPU?" "What if you got into UPSI?. I confidently told them that I will reject their offer and just go on with form 6. But then I checked my UPU results and was shocked to the core when I see the word "Tahniah" and UPSI. I cried to my father telling him that I got into my dream university. But I had a small fight with my mother because of the covid situation and UPSI being so far away from my home. After she had a talk with her brothers (they're all teachers by the way) she finally agreed on letting me pursue my studies in UPSI. I cried a lot during that day shshshshsh.

I'm an extrovert but sometimes I will be very quite. I treat people the way they treat me. I'm trying my best to fit in so that I won't feel left out since I'm furthering my studies outside of Sarawak. I really hope I can get along with everyone especially lecturers.

I chose the song "Mr Loverman" because it's my comfort song. Whenever I feel vulnerable or depressed I would listen to that song. Last year, I was really depressed because of covid. I even thought about dropping highschool because I had no interest in learning anymore until my teacher gave a lecture to me. The motivation that she gave was "If you fail in your SPM which means you wasted all of your school years. You wasted 13 years of your life". I automatically got motivated to study again. I finally worked my 🤬 off to finally get where I am now.

If you guys are wondering, I really love watching anime. My mom once scolded me for watching anime all the time lol. I listen to kpop songs too but not all of them. I'm a cat lover. I have a total of 5 cats but only one of them is my emotional support animal. His name is Nguyeng😂 If you are lucky, you can actually see him from my screen because he always disturb me during online class. My favorite tv show is Friends. A comedy sitcom back in 1994. I binge watch it a lot even though I already finished the whole season.

I guess that's all about me. I'm sure all of you are nice people so I hope we will get the chance to meet each other in campus soon. Nice knowing all of you!

honestly, my dream University was to get into UPSI since highschool because UPSI was #1 University for education and I am really in love with English so that why I choose this course. Alhamdulillah, I be able to get into UPSI, my ambition since was to be a teacher because I was inspired by my parents and my lecturer especially you madam Huda because you easily can make us student and our class happy. I can see the joy of being the teacher/lecturer and I am proud to be able to help Malaysia to be more develop in education.

I choose this song "DANCIN" by Aaron Smith, I chose this song because its my favorite song and its describe myself a lot. This song also being my expectation for our grammar class because this song is very energetic and our class is also fun. beside that, this song always give me a positive aura, good emotion and also can release my stress when I was down.
