How does Australia Extract Their Natural Resources?

Although Australia is one of the main producers of some resources, they don't take it for granted. Australia is very strict about their natural resource extraction. Australia has a mining agency which regulates mining, health, and safety regulations which all relate to the Australian mining industry. Most of the resources that Australia extracts, they export. Australia's mineral exports have increased from $45.9 billion (2002-03) to $145.6 billion (2012-13). According to www.ga.gov.au Australia's current mining production is from deposits from two decades ago.

How Does Australia Use Their Natural Resources?

Because of the fact that Australia rarely extracts their Natural Resources, this means that the demand must be down. This isn't a bad thing. Low demand means that there is more time for other natural resources to develop. Not only that, but there will be less extraction of resources which means that there will be less co2 being emitted from the machinery.

After viewing all of the evidence related to Australia's natural resources and their extraction, we can say that this is a country that is very non-demanding towards these valuable resources. They have a very effective extraction and usage process that will most likely continue to benefit them for many years to come. Australia will likely be a leading producer and extractor for natural resources in the years to come because of how little resources that they use compared to other countries. However, to answer the question "Why might some countries be better able to extract and use Natural Resources in a sustainable way?", Australia could be able to extract and use their natural resources in a sustainable way because of the demand. Because the demand for natural resources is low in Australia, their extraction and use is sustainable.

https://www.theurbandeveloper.com/western-australia-determined-keep-planet-green-evermore/

This piece of geographic evidence is an article showing the initiative that Western Australia is taking to become more sustainable.
