Did the computer network meet the user requirements in the brief?

The client will need 3 different accounts: Business, College and Recreational Uses. The clients can use 2 main PC’s and laptops; however, they will need Windows 7 installed on the devices and at least 3 copies of Microsoft Office which will enable them to produce documents on word and excel. The client will need Microsoft Office to be able to put information down into a document to be able to share it with other users successfully. The clientele will also need a router, anti-virus software, firewall, disk defragment, and word processors. The network requires 1 admin to share 5 folders and 7 files, the other accounts will be different users with less accessibility than the admin. The folders and files will help the client store more information in an organized space so the client can find the information very quickly. The users can connect together to share files with a wired or wireless connection.

When it comes to access rights, all three user accounts have different access rights on the network. The business user will have full access to folders and files, it is also able to have a password of their own choice and is able to access all program and pages on the computer. As well the business user has full access to all files, folders and documents etc. The second account user, which is only the college user, has access to folders and files but the user account is only able to edit the files and folders. The college user will only have partial rights to access the files, folders and documents; this means that the user can’t change certain things on the account or access any stuff. The college account user will be able to have a password of their own choice. The college account user will only have access to files which are relevant to college work. Finally, the last user, which is the recreational account user will not have access to files and folders. The recreational account user will only have access to the internet such as watching videos, and playing games on the computer. The user will not have a password. The recreational account user will not have access to other utilities other than games and the internet. Only the business account user and the college account user can share hardware across the network. This includes: printer as the 2 users are only ones.
