Hey my name’s Kai

I’m half Japanese.

Do not insult my American Side - Please.

I’m a survivor of the Tsunami.

But I wished that I was with my family.

It struck

A year before fall

I thought it was a joke

But I knew nothing at all.

And all

Of the people I cared

Fell victim to it

There were tears everywhere

Got my degree and I suddenly

Thought of the rest of my family

I blamed myself

For the death of them

And tried to jump into the river

Again.

I got

Invited to go

To America and find

My father in New York

Met all the children of

Wrote him a message and returned home.
