I think alternative, team, and parallel teaching are the bottom of my list. I think that in some environments this would cause a distraction (personally) and make it hard for me to be effective. I think station teaching could be beneficial in specific settings.

All of that to say, I have had 3 co-taught classes and we usually employee a combination of primarily "one teach one assist" for day to day and "one teach one observe" when we need to collect data on how we can change our lessons to better meet the needs of the students. I like this method because it allows myself to reflect on my teaching because if the co-teacher doesn't understand it and also "re-teach" if necessary, then my method of teaching that content is not effective. It also allows us to assess the classroom "in action."

Team teaching offers significant benefits for both students and teachers by creating a more dynamic and supportive learning environment. With two educators in the classroom, students have access to different teaching styles and perspectives, which can make lessons more engaging and easier to understand. I appreciate the team teaching model because it allows students to receive information in multiple ways and promotes a level of respect for having two teachers in the classroom.

The first model I would be likely to use would be One Teach One Assist. This is because it would allow one teacher to deliver the lesson, and the co-teacher can support the DES or EL students. The co-teacher could also assist with reinforcing classroom management while the other teacher focuses on the lesson. The next model I would be likely to use would be One Teach One Observe. Following this model, I would select Station Teaching third. Fourth would be parallel teaching, and fifth would be team teaching.

My first year teaching I was placed with a DES teacher, and this was my first time experiencing Co-Teaching. I loved one because I was new to the classroom and working with someone that has been teaching for 20 plus years. I learned a few new ways of breaking(differentia) my lesson to students who needed my help. So, I loved this way of teaching.
