         <description><![CDATA[<div>Name:&nbsp;<br>Paul Choo<br><br>Years in SMG:<br>1973-1995<br><br>Branch/Department/Departments in SMG:<br>Headquarters&nbsp;<br><br>Present status:<br>Husband of childhood sweetheart (Nancy), dad of 4, granddad of 7.&nbsp;<br><br>3 best memories of SMG:<br>1. Opening day April 1, 1973. Bribing an Indian worker who was using his pneumatic jackhammer to dig up the road outside UIC Building to help us dig a “drain” in our “illegal” dispensary.&nbsp;<br>2. Our crazy anniversaries.&nbsp;<br>3. The day we got International Plaza 35th floor space around swimming pool. &nbsp;<br><br>Things done after leaving SMG:<br>1. Started &amp; pastored Gospel Light Christian Church (1988-present)&nbsp;<br>2. Started Asia-Pacific Institute of International Studies, to train Asian pastors and Christian leaders (1995-present)&nbsp;<br>3. Started Goducate, to help needy Asians help themselves (2009-present).<br>God has called me to help the “needy,” give them hope for the future and train them to be the best that they can be.&nbsp;<br>Presently focusing on mentoring about 1000 from 29 countries.&nbsp;<br>Weekly travel to other countries to conduct training before Covid but now mostly in Singapore and training on Zoom.&nbsp;<br><br>I wish…..:<br>We can continue to stay in touch and encourage one another to live our lives as a blessing to many others.</div>]]></description>

Started my own GP practice with BK Nair - 3 clinics<br>2. Left to join the pharma industry - country manager and APAC President for several multinational companies including Wellcome, Rhone Poulenc Rorer, Covance and IMS Health<br>3. Group GM of the Parkway group of hospitals<br>4. Healthcare investment in a Temasek subsidiary - Pavilion Capital<br>5. Board member of Zuellig Pharma and Chairman of Menarini Biomarkers.<br>6. Advisers of biotech startups and funds&nbsp;<br>Called by God for workplace ministry to help make quality healthcare products and services affordable and accessible to low-middle income countries.<br><br>I wish...<br>Continue to promote PREMA - positive Psychology, close Relationship, enhance Engagement, promote Meaningful lifespan among the younger people to have a purposeful and not just profitable life. And finally Achievements to leave behind a worthy legacy. God through us to provide an absolute moral compass in this increasingly VUCA - Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous WORLD!!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Years in SMG : To-date since 1984<br>Clinics : Started at International Plaza. Took over First&nbsp; (Sing Investment Financial) Building clinic branch from David Wong. Helped to start clinic at Keppel Towers, The Exchange (GSH Plaza) and Republic Plaza. Now branch manager at The Arcade clinic<br><br>Status : Blessed with a soul mate, Amy. A wonderful mother to our 4 boys and a great cook:) We have 3 lovely grandchildren.<br><br>Memories :<br>1. Joined Dr Paul Choo &amp; Muk Kin Son for a medical mission to Rajahmundry, India in the late 80’s. We saw endless queue of patients from the villages in the day and participated in gospel rallies in the evening. <br>2. Did a Heli-evac of a ship captain who suffered a heart attack from an oil tanker out of Singapore port limit. Successfully evacuated him from Seletar airport to TTSH <br>3. Completed a 2-week ultrasound course in Philadelphia and helped Dr June Yang Jun to begin her journey in sonography in EHS<br><br>After 1995 (SMG sold to Parkway) :<br>1. Parkway Shenton won the first contract from Ministry of Defence to run the SAF Physician Partners’ Programme in 2013. With the help of A/Prof Goh Lee Gan, we came up with a complete training syllabus for NSF medical officers in 5 medical centres to guide them in looking after the recruits, cadets and officers in these camps <br>2. Won MOH contract to be one of 10 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to offer holistic &amp; team based care for Singaporeans. Appointed as Parkway Shenton PCN Clinical Lead from Jan 2018 to-date. <br>3. What exactly is Healthier SG all about? Appeared on One FM 91.3 Radio Talkshow on 31 Aug 2022. Shared health tips on how to ‘square off the curve’, compress morbidity and live a full &amp; healthy life.<br><a href="https://fb.watch/fxdKahL2sy/">https://fb.watch/fxdKahL2sy/</a><br><br>I wish that I could have learned to slow down a little more in my younger days and stopped to have a longer chat with each of you when our paths crossed.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Started as part-time receptionist while studying - Became secretary to Mr Yeo Lim Yam after graduating from Secreterial course.<br><br>Present status :<br>Married to Simon Manning (British), Mum of 1 son (Matthew Manning - 15 years old)<br><br>3 best memories of SMG:<br><br>1. Given the opportunity to join SMG to learn so much in the medical industry from pre employment check up to reception work etc and given the opportunity to study Dispensary at Medical Alumni Association at 2 College Road. Always grateful to have joined SMG. Thanks Dr Choy, Dr Choo, Dr Lien for the golden opportunity.  Great memories at SMG.<br>2 . Had fun posting doctors for ship and house calls and opportunity to follow to Ship up the gangway once<br>3. Did Bible Study with Dr Paul Choo at lunch hours and became a christian and baptised by Dr Choo! Enjoyed all the lunch hours with all the nice colleagues including eat "see hum" with Dr Goh and some nurses at the Shenton garden!<br><br>Things done after leaving SMG:<br>1. Joined Hospitality industry from Pinetree club to M Hotel (then the Harbour View Dai-ichi Hotel), Opened Suntec Convention Centre and Grand Plaza Parkroyal hotel, Pan Pacific Hotel, Ritz-Carlton Hotel Singapore as Director of Catering.<br>2. Married at 2005, moved to Hong Kong with husband 2006 to set up Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong.&nbsp; Had one son, helped out in school actively and became Chairperson of Singapore International School HK Parent Teachers Association.<br>3. Volunteered in Singapore Association Hong Kong for past 7 years - Fund raising and contributes back to HK community. Very active in Singapore Community in Hong Kong.<br>Currently working for The Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong) and runs a Food Trading Company bringing Singapore Brand food from Singapore to Hong Kong.<br><br>I wish......<br>Continue to give back to Singapore/Hong Kong community especially those in need.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
