I can infer that the Nonnas feel amazing after winning becuase they were celebrating and popping champagne.

I think it was ineffective becuase many people will just make homemade tomato sauce becuase the video said that homemade sauce will always come first. So, this might convince people just to make their own tomato sauce.

A: We can infer that there tomato sauce is homemade and that they used Italian spices and ingredients because from our prior knowledge we know that store bought tomato sauce has artificial flavors and homemade  sauce has natural ingredients and you know what you put in it.

Evaluative Question: Did you think it was a good idea to use the Nona's in the advertisement instead of young adults?
A: Yes I think the idea of using Nona's in the advertisement instead of young people is a good idea because the more older you are the more you know about your culture and traditions and recipes better than
 young people.

the ladies were celebrating because they won the pasta sauce contest. i can infer this because all of the ladies were dancing, cheering and had a first place badge.

yes, we think this was effective because nonna's pasta sauce always comes first because its homemade and made with love but the classico brand came second because its not made with as much love but it is still outstanding.

A= We infer that they used Nonna's for their commercial because we know from our prior knowledge that Italians are famous for their pasta sauce. We also know that older people don't party as much as teenagers. It makes the commercial more effective with humour. Research shows that most people would like to watch a humourous video instead of videos/commercials that do not catch their eyes. For example, commercials with facts and speeches.

Evaluative:
Q= Do you think that the commercial would be more effective if the chef team had won instead of the Nonna's?

A= We don't think It would been as effective because if the chef were partying, it wouldn't have been as funny. We know this because you see younger people partying all the time but older people aren't partying as much. We can also guess that a more fun commercial can catch people eye and start watching it more. It can get people to buy this sauce. What caught our eye is when the Nonna's popped the champagne. We also thought that it was way more effective with the music "all I do is win" in the background because our Nonna's listen to traditional Italian music, 70's music and Jazz music. If the chef's won and the same music was in the background, it wouldn't be as good because they are young and probably listen to that music already. I can infer that they chose Grandmas/nonnas as actors for the winning team, because people can relate to nonnas often cooking and making food for there families. Many nonnas also have a staple dish, or in this case, sauce - which lots of people can also relate to. In this add they made the nonnas sauce win, because everyone knows that nonnas sauce is "the best".

Evaluative Question:
Do u think was effective for Classico to admit to not being the top sauce?

C:Yes, we think it was effective for Classico to admit to not being the top sauce. They know that the nonnas homemade fresh sauce is always better then store bought sauce.  People say that everything homemade is better because its more fresh. Classico dosent want to argue with the nonnas so they say that they are the best store bought sauce. In the commercial the judges side with the nonnas homemade sauce. Yes, we think it was a good idea to make the creators win 2nd. We think this because by making the other brand win it grabs the attention of everyone. It grabs the attention because it was weird that the brand making the commercial didn't make their brand win. It's also funny because it's steriotypical that the Ittaliennes won. It's funny because you would think the brand advertising would win but they didn't. Therefore, that's why we think it was a good idea.
