As president Donald Trump authorized immigration enforcement on school property. School staff should immediately inform the principal, assigned designee and a school resource officer and "begin documentation of encounter," including the date, time and location of the encounter, the names and badge numbers of the agents and what the agents are requesting. Before students are released into anyone's custody, schools have to contact their parents.

In this event, it describes a student who speak English as their second language and getting help in school, and describe their lives in US as immigrant. Even though they face some language differences, they get help by teachers and learning English with confidence. In the end, he goes to college and helps more students like him. I think it is a good example to show us the importance of education and support.

In this reading, it explains different languages that students speak in their family. In the data, most students speak Spanish. But how we are going to help them study in English? Dual Language Program can help English learners and English-speaking students help each other, they can have the same class experience and follow the instruction together.

When we set English as the official language, it will affect students who are bilinguals, we hope students can combine their languages and English to learn, it will enhance their understanding in English and knowledge their learn in classroom.

I think it is a problem to ponder. As development of technology, we can use translator to translate directly of the things we want to talk about. And in the life, we use our native languages to communicate. It lacks the opportunity to speak English in life. Therefore, when we leave schools and we keep using our native languages and we don't have the opportunity to speak English and can't read after graduating. I think we also need to think, express ourselves in English, maybe in our daily lives, maybe watch TV in English, to help to practice our listening and speaking abilities.
