Abraham Lincoln used parallel structure to emphasize his thoughts about the Civil War. The direct quote is in his first sentence of the speech "Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray -- that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away." There's also a little rhyme going on in there. This continues with "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan to do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."

By repeating the word right, Lincoln is emphasizing that it is in their right to help rejoin the nation together, and that his plans would help repair their country. Additionally, he is stating that God believes in his plans, and that they are correct.

He says "fondly" and "fervently" which are both interesting words and then at the end he says "away" which is a basic word but still sounds the same as the other two words.
