I predict that one of the main ideas will be the evolution of reading and writing, how it's a journey to become proficient in reading and writing. At one point the article talked about the three R's reading, writing, and arithmetics. It also spoke about writing being more of a horizon than a destination. As well as the list of institutional literacies that are said to need in order to succeed in the university system. This tells me that there's many levels to being proficient in reading and writing there isn't just one class you can take and you aren't just born good or bad at reading and writing. So I believe that the article will go more in depth with that.

From what I have seen and skimmed through, I predict that this reading would consist of talking about preparing students literacy skills with reading and writing as they continue from high school to university/college. Having students reach college expectations for when it comes to their literacy skills, building off from the foundations that were given to them in high school and build even more on them as they learn and expand their knowledge throughout college. In one of the charts, I've noticed or well, I would assume literacy skills are stated for students to follow through with their grammar, reading, writing, and overall understanding of the subjects. From what it seems, the chart is to equally divide all of the parts for literacy in order to properly analyze and note down what sort of skills will be needed to reach said goals. This also seems to be related to how students plan their schedules and manage time, as it seems to be correlated as I skimmed through it.

The passage is about schools and universities needing to help students develop diverse literacies that match their surroundings. It emphasizes individual needs, different literacies for different contexts, and the growing importance of digital media. Flinders University aims to equip students with cultural capital and multiliteracies for effective university participation. The text also covers the institutional literacies needed for university success, like understanding layouts and rules. Critical literacies are also crucial, involving analyzing texts, considering power dynamics, and questioning language usage in different contexts. The passage covers foundational literacies needed for participation in the modern world. They're trying to teach literacy in a new way, focusing on real-life use. They're using a mix of teaching styles and media to help students learn better. This could be helpful for students in today's world. The text talks about how important it is to learn new skills for today's world. Some students are already good at these skills when they start university. We need to help all students learn these skills so they can do well in school and in life. It's not fair to assume everyone starts from the same point.

I predict that the article will go over many levels of literacy. Such as how there is a difference between the types of literacy elementary school kids are writing/reading at compared to the college level. I think it will also go over the different types of literacy and what makes them different. Like academic literacy is most likely different than traditional literacy and so on.

From what I have scanned and skimmed through I predict the text will continue to talk about the differences and similarities between high school writing and college writing. Furthermore, I also believe that it will talk about the transition from high writing to college-level writing. The text will talk about how learning new skills is important building off the foundation set down from high school can be made useful. The text had some charts that I thought might be the specific skills that can help a fresh colleges student succeed. From what I skimmed it talked about institutional literacies as well.

Maybe even identify what literacy is required to survive University. I got this from the graph that was shown in the article mentioning four specific literacies and the list given to us at the beginning.

I predict that this article is going to go into all types of literacies. It’s going to highlight the fact that literacies aren’t just from the classroom or libraries but there’s countless sources. I also think it’s going to show how different media literacies affect kids and certain group of kids don’t have access too some media literacies. In addition, I think it’s also going to suggest how to implement different literacy ideas for better foundations to people.

I think this text will be about understanding different ways of viewing university literacies. From what I saw it seemed like there is different things that pertain to understanding literacies in college. Almost like understanding that college writing is different from high school writing. A few things that led me to this prediction would be ge fact that I saw different lists on different types of literacies. One being critical literacies that said understanding texts etc. and just by skimming through the tops of paragraphs I could see what each paragraph would get into. Some of the info at the top already seemed like it was relating to another idea from a text I read earlier.
