This is happening because most people are not conscious of this problem and don't do anything about it. Firstly, people should reduce the amount of rubbish, for example, wasting less paper and plastic and reusing them as many times as possible before throwing them away as rubbish. Another good option could be recycling plastic bags or bottles in order to use them more and more times by creating new things out of the rubbish, such as bags and wallets with chips' bags or decorations made of cans. Another factor can be the overpopulation of the world. As the population of the world grows and grows, the amount of rubbish and consumption of natural resources increases too.
