Rapunzel lives her everyday life in the tower that her "mother" keeps her locked in. Her everyday routine never changes starting with her chores,she reads a few books,paints in her hidden gallery about the floating lanterns which is something she wants to see more than anything. In her life shes never seen the outside world the only outdoors she has seen is what she can see through her window or her imagination.

Departure

Rapunzel leaves the tower for the first time ever, and is amazed by everything she sees. The grass, the dirt, the breeze, was all new to her. She had never touched trees or leaves until her departure, where she also met Maximus the horse. It was time for her and Flynn to make their way to the Kingdom of Corona and she was not hesitant to keep moving forward and not look back.

Everything was normal for her, until Flynn Rider broke into her tower, trying to escape the royal guards after stealing the Princesses crown. Rapunzel knocks him out and traps him, and once he wakes up she demands him to take her to see the floating lights, which are the lanterns that float in the sky every year on her birthday. Flynn agrees and they are off on their adventure. This is Rapunzel's first time leaving her tower in 18 years.

Rapunzel and Flynn finally arrive at the Kingdom, and attend the festival honoring the lost princess that is Rapunzel, but she doesn't know it's her. They dance, draw, eat cupcakes, and Rapunzel gets her hair braided. They later end the day on a boat ride to watch the floating lights. Little did Flynn know what was waiting for him at shore.

After getting rid of Mother Gothel, Flynn and Rapunzel are safe. Rapunzel is free to go where she wants and isn't being held captive anymore. She and Flynn get to be together.

In tangled the twin brothers named the Stabbington brothers are one of their main trials. Chasing down Flynn Ryder for stealing the crown from the kingdom and fleeing leaving them behind although they were supposed to be partners. So now Rapunzel and Flynn are being chased down by the twins along with mother Gothel for leaving the tower.This helps them build up their skills for the biggest challenge of all, facing and confronting mother Gothel.

Return

Flynn took Rapunzel back to the castle, where she finally got to see her parents after 18 years of being missing. Her parents welcomed Flynn with open arms, thankful that he returned their daughter. This is Rapunzel returning home, a more fierce, more brave version of herself. Rapunzel herself was the treasure that returned.

While in the boat watching the lights someone catches Flynns eye the

stabbington brother are there for Flynn and Rapunzel. Flynn goes to the boat to talk to them and they ruthlessly turn him in and kidnap Rapunzel for their own advantage. Mother Gothel sees the danger her "daughter" is being put in and trades the crown for her "daughter" Rapunzel back.When they get back to the tower Rapunzel is chained up by her "mother" to make sure she wouldn't leave again. Flynn then escapes jail and gets to the tower where mother Gothel stabs him and tries to go to a new hiding spot with Rapunzel but she refuses to go until mother Gothel lets her heal Flynn Ryder.Mother Gothel finally agrees but when Rapunzel is trying to heal Flynn he cuts her hair making it loose all its magic.

Resolution

At the end of the movie, everything is back to the way it should be. Everyone is back to their original state. Rapunzel is back home, and she gets to be with Flynn. The Kingdom has a celebration celebrating the return of the lost princess, and everyone lives happily ever after.

And in the end of the tower scene pascal trips mother Gothel leading her to fall out of the window to her death. Rapunzel and Flynn are safe and can now leave the tower and never have to look back. Flynn and Rapunzel head to her real home knowing what they do know now she is the lost princess.

Although she cant go back to the life she knew, shes back to the most normal life she will get to know with her real family and Flynn Ryder by her side as she becomes princess and queen in the future.
