My name is Brigid Ulicny and I am the ESL teacher for 6th through 12th grade at Saucon. I love what our English learners bring to this district socially, academically, linguistically, and culturally.  My job is a labor of love for me. I am certified in Social Studies, English, and ESL. One of my life long goals is to see the Northern Lights with my husband, Mark. I have three children who suck all the energy out of me but it's worth the adventure. Their names are Henry, Mayzie, and Graham. One quote I live by every day is : "Love breaks all barriers." Someone special in Peru shared this with me. I hope each of you takes something small away from this course, whether it be a strategy, a reading, a thought about a video, a technology tool, a discussion with a colleague, etc. I look forward to learning from you! I am the gifted support teacher at the middle school. I'm certified in the areas of Elementary Education, Special Education (K-12), and recently added a Gifted Endorsement. There are so many things on my bucketlist, and not enough time or money for all of them. After spending some time in Thailand, I would love to visit a few more Asian countries, especially Vietnam and Korea. I would also love to go diving in Australia at the Great Barrier Reef and travel to camp under the Northern Lights. I would also like to explore the western part of our nation - specifically the national parks! Hopefully I will be able to get through some of those with only a few months off each summer. I chose this course because I work with many students across grades 5-8 with a variety of needs. I would love to use the information from this course to help me provide even more individualized support to my learners. #worktolive
