The four natural reserves are Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Central Catchment Nature Reserve, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, and Labrador Nature Reserve.

2d. Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve are home to many species of animals, such as the largest reptile and the second largest reptile, the estuarine crocodile and the monitor lizard.
2e. There are two species of monitor lizards in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, the Malayan Water monitor lizard and the clouded monitor lizard.
2f. There are horseshoe crabs in the marshlands in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve that are about the size of a fifty cent coin.
2g. In the past, there was a species of snail that feeds on mangrove roots. However, mangrove trees somehow died out easily and the snails went extinct. This also resulted in the extinction of a species of beetle, who was a predator of the snail species also died out. This beetle had the ability to glow.
2h. I learnt that many birds migrate here to feed in the winter to recharge.
3. They look brown and grey (drab and dull) to camouflage from predators.
4. Many creatures have adapted to the high tide and the low tide e.g. the tree-climbing crab climb trees when it is high tide.
5. Mangrove seedlings germinate faster that other seedlings. WOW
6. The water between salt water and fresh water is called "bracken" is that correct?
7. Mudskipper eyes grow on top of their heads to provide better vision.
8. there are many species of plants and animals (if I'm not wrong, there are 2,712 plant species)
9. Learning Points :
- The noise you hear in the Wetland Reserve is made by cicadas, trying to find a mate.
- Sungei Buloh (<--Malay) translates to River Bamboo (<--English).
- Fish poison trees can poison fish as their sap is soapy and wipe the fish's gill clean of their much need bacteria (<--Their food).
- Atlas moths like to eat the fish poison tree's flowers
- Nibong palm spikes can be used to make blowdarts
- Buta-Buta tree sap gives you a burning sensation on the skin, and can also be used to poison fish, when in contact with your eye, it could blind you for 2 weeks.
- Tent spiders build funnel-shaped webs, they build two webs, one on the top (to capture prey), and one on the bottom (for themselves to chill and wait for prey to get caught in their top web).
- Tree climbing crabs are herbivores that climb trees, but surprisingly do not have camouflage to defend themselves against predators.
- Api Api species of mangrove trees get rid of saltwater from the underside of their leaves. (We got to taste the underside of the leaf, it was salty).
- The sonneratia tree lets fruit bats feed on its nectar, and has roots that look like inverted ice cream cones.
- The attap palm's fruit is as big as a football, and its white seeds can be found at the bottom of ice kacang.
- The propagule plants germinate on the propagule tree they are born from (their mother's tree).
