The BBC began is a royal charter that began in 2006 and runs until 2017 this allows the BBC to maintain its editorial independence so it can show what it wants and not be constrained by the government or any other outside sources. The BBC trust settles what will be shown and this in turn is decided by what TV liecence payers want from their TV to show what the popular Opinion is. The Trust works hard to identify what the audiences of the BBC want and try to accommodate for this. there is also the executive board. The executive board is effectively a board of directors who work out what to film and the state of the company. finally there are media regulators that make sure nothing unsuitable is shown before the watershed by giving everything an age rating.
