    This was a great lesson!  I would suggest showing the rubric and going over the assignment expectations prior to showing the movie so that the students will know why they need to pay close attention to identifying the characteristics.  A printed list of the characteristics (like the card game, but in a whole sheet) would have been helpful while watching the movie and creating the game.  : )

Raising these children required very different parenting approaches.     A FEELING I experienced... amazement that there are so many different profiles and that students can be in the same profile and be completely different.

I have some tools to use in conversations with students and also their parents. I loved the format of today's class and getting to analyze the characters instead of just being told a lot of information. Some kids could fall under multiple profiles.
