<title>Something I will think differently about is when trying to identify GT students in my class, or actually get to know all of my students in general, I will take into account these 6 characteristics and figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each child. This can also help me talk to the parents! </title>

<title>An action I plan to take is REALLY looking at the GT students differently. Not cluster them as all the same type of gifted learner. The handout, Profiles Of The Gifted and Talented will be very helpful. Also, the descriptions and behaviors of each type of learner could help me when identifying students that may need to be tested for GT. I feel that all students would fall into each of these types of learners. It would be fun for students to choose what type of learner they feel they are.</title>

<title>A feeling I had is that my second born- one of my three gifted kids out of my 5 children, was a classic Type 2 personality- Challenging- both at home and in school, while my third born was a classic Type 6 Autonomous personality. Lastly, my fourth born is the poster child for the Type 3 Underground and has a deep need for my acceptance of her underground personality. Raising these children required very different parenting approaches. I also identified myself as a Type 1 former gifted learner when I was in school, but did not receive the interventions at home or school to help me understand myself at the time and thus struggled for years to make sense of a lot of things. </title>

Although I think this might be difficult sometimes, not everyone is going to show every behavior listed for each GT type, and therefore can be listed the same but have a totally different approach and behavior towards learning. <title>I might slow down and approach a student differently based on which type of GT student they are. I have some tools to use in conversations with students and also their parents. I loved the format of today&#39;s class and getting to analyze the characters instead of just being told a lot of information. Colored chart at beginning was a great intro!</title>
