This event helped the colonist against Britain and it got the colonist to realize the patriots cause.  The Aftermath of this event led to a spark to colonists of the rebellion which cumulative through time because 5 people died in the Boston Massacre trying to revolt the taxes.

The colonists wanted to boycott all british goods and just slow down what the British wants leading to the sons of liberty dressed like indians dumping tea into harbor. The colonists had to pay for all the tea the sons of liberty "destroyed" and King George the III had passed series of laws called the Coercive act. 4 acts were passed including the Boston Port Act, The massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act. The colonist are guaranteed rights of Englishmen.  A Royal colony was part of the British territories and were ruled by a governor appointed by the monarch. Proprietary colonies were land divided by the ruler which the ruler owned.
