While walking in the park, it landed on my hand and didn't move until about 10-15 minutes later.  

I say they are not indicator species because they are seen practically everywhere.

This little guy was found in the grass with a bunch of his friends and we were only able to catch one of him.

As spiders are sensitive to pollution, they are typically identifed as an indicative species.

Found in a small stream that leads to the main pond, this water beetle was one of many we saw.

Though the species seemed to thrive in this watershed, they are not typically identified as an indicator species.

We determined that the watershed is healthy because 3/4 of the animals that we found were indicator species of a watershed, so we believe it is healthy even if one animal was not an indicator. Our suggestion to keep the watershed healthy, would be to have community service every Sunday to keep up with the health of the water.
