         <title>I think the talking rain gauge will also be great for young learners who have yet to master reading the scale. It could be a double check on their observations. I wonder if other &quot;talking&quot; devices are in the works... would be great for things like soil temperature, potentially pH, etc.</title>

In other words, some students were interested in temperature changes, so the selected research question aligned with their interests. However, other students were-for example-interested in insects.
